We are looking for a dynamic marketer to assist with the development and execution of marketing plans for FLIR's commercial security division in the US. Based in New Jersey this individual will be responsible for hands-on planning, implementing, and tracking multiple marketing projects. This role provides the opportunity to use creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to develop engaging content while executing new product launches, public relations initiatives, and promotional campaigns that drive demand.
Responsibilities will include copy-writing, collateral development, video-series production, and both print and digital marketing campaign execution. The Vertical Marketing Manager will provide direct support to the sales and product management teams, as well as work closely with FLIR's in-house shared services team and third-party marketing agencies to achieve FLIR's business goals.
Assist the Vertical Marketing Director of Security in the creation of marketing strategy and budget.
Work closely with Enterprise division to develop new collateral and refresh old collateral to align with product release and sales needs.
Manage media, creative agency, and public relations spend.
Communicate directly with sales and product management to generate accurate core messaging for new product launches and to identify new marketing opportunities.
Work closely with Vertical Marketing Director to direct third-party agencies and FLIR's in-house design, demand generation, and social media teams in the execution of effective collateral and promotions.
Uphold the value proposition, key selling points and messaging for FLIR's Enterprise Security product portfolio while adhering to FLIR corporate brand standards.
Develop marketing content (PowerPoint expert a bonus), evangelize message, and execute on the marketing vision and strategy.
Manage content calendar and ensure that complete collateral materials accompany all products, including, web content, literature, presentations, e-blasts, videos, advertisements, PR, etc.
Develop and execute demand-generation strategies that enable FLIR to efficiently and consistently deliver engaging content to the market.
Assist with development of go-to-market strategies for new technologies and products, while also crafting core messaging and key visuals that communicate customer benefits.
Report on progress and challenges, recommend allocation of the marketing budget, measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and recommend areas of improvement especially in digital marketing, and identify opportunities for optimal exposure.
Research industry trends and provides competitive analysis.
Minimum education: Bachelor undergrad degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
Minimum 5 years in a marketing role working with tech in a B2B environment.
Minimum 5 years content development experience with demonstrated ability to compose compelling marketing copy for tech products.
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to make informed decisions.
Ability to work well under pressure combined with a positive attitude.
Digital marketing experience including demand marketing, lead generation, social media content marketing.
Experience in Security (software/hardware) needed.
Must be available to travel approximately 10-15 business trips per year for tradeshows, seminars, video/photo shoots, customer site visits and internal meetings.
