The Amazon HR Services Vendor Program Manager will advocate for the customer/employee in representing Amazon to external third parties and other important internal partners and cross functional leaders. Using analytical capabilities, project management skills, business acumen and a strategic focus, the HR Services Vendor Program Manager will help set high standards and cultivate operational excellence. Key work will include managing the HR Services' Vendor Portfolio, bridging gaps between internal stakeholders, procurement and contract negotiations.
What you'll do:
Financial reporting and planning including reporting on spend and communicating with partners on actual vs. spend
Procurement activities such as vendor strategy and selection, requirement gathering, pricing, contract negotiations/administration
Assist business units in vendor performance (consult with business units with vendor performance per SLA's/contract, involved if there's a failure)
Collaborate to create new offerings in the vendor space (consult with delivery teams to understand if current vendors can offer certain items and interface with vendors to understand if they can expand their offerings)
Billing and invoice management (facilitation of payment and processing payment, ensuring that goes smoothly, investigate escalations)
Work with cross functional teams to optimize vendor delivery (work with other teams who own the vendor relationship to ensure HR Services needs are taken into consideration)
Develop global vendor network (maximize global vendors vs country only vendors to expand work areas/geos; vendor landscape - rely on service delivery mangers to know their business and landscape within the business)
Liaise with Legal, Risk/Compliance, Security, Tax, AP
Manage the annual vendor summit event for HR Services; work with stakeholders to define event strategy, mange the logistics, catering and all other aspects of the event.
Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, and manage project schedules; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables.
