What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Vendor Performance Analyst to support all vendor performance management activities across the Department. This work includes understanding IT systems, cloud computer and engineering, data management, and cybersecurity in order to determine the appropriate metrics to assess the performance of vendors currently delivering products and services to the Department. This work also includes interviewing government technical monitors and program office leadership to review existing metrics, design new metrics, onboard new contracts / vendors, and develop mitigation strategies for underperforming vendors. Additionally, the candidate is responsible for designing and facilitating briefings to Vendors, GTMs, CORs, Program Offices, and ITA/BMP Leadership training users on functionality, expanding the customer base, and promoting the tool across the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead/support the maturation of the proprietary vendor performance tool.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Work within a small team and report directly to the Project Manager.

  • Provide direct support for the Director of vendor performance management and the maturation of the office's proprietary vendor performance management tool.

  • Identify potential contracts and offices to onboard into the proprietary tool and facilitate the onboarding process.

  • Lead the facilitation and discovery interviews with government technical monitors, program office representatives and executives and contracting officer representatives to establish contract metrics for State Department vendors.

  • Experience researching, designing, and implementing performance measurements and metrics.

  • Analyze data reports to identify trends, areas for concern around vendor performance management and escalate to government management as necessary.

  • Lead the design and development of leadership briefings.

  • Coordinate with other offices in their effort to standardize vendor performance evaluation and management.

  • Lead training efforts by providing input, documentation, and designing training presentations.

  • Work collaboratively with government staff and other contractors.

  • Perform market research on metrics to determine applicability to future evaluation of State Department vendors.

  • Collaborate with staff in other offices to clearly define performance metrics to hold vendor(s) responsible for delivering results.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews on written work products.

  • Communicate with all levels of an organization and support the development of engaging and dynamic briefings for senior executives.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree (or a minimum of 4 years relevant working experience in lieu of degree)

  • THREE (3) years of business analyst experience

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Working understanding of Enterprise Architecture, networking, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and IT project management to guide vendor performance management metric determination and measurement.

  • Prior experience in management consulting or client management.

  • Understanding of vendor performance management, service level agreement requirements, and metrics.

  • Experience leading or supporting client-facing meetings and engaging clients at various levels, some of whom are high-level executives and political appointees, with diverse perspectives.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

  • Ability to write and edit reports, create briefings for senior executives, research and write articles, and customize content for various audiences.

  • Experience developing high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficient use of the suite of Microsoft Office products.
