JOB SUMMARY

  • This position is responsible for managing vendor relationships while ultimately driving sales quality and performance. The individual will work with vendors to ensure their training and procedures are aligned with Marketing and Regulatory teams. He/She will assist with training vendor teams, create & provide marketing materials to assist with sales process, accompany agents in the field ensuring scripts and appropriate attire is being adhered to. This individual will work closely with management as well as other groups; Regulatory, Operations, Commissions etc, he/she must be comfortable presenting and articulating data to and from the vendor, without compromising the relationship, including sales performance coaching. This individual must be comfortable traveling up to 80%/month, taking direction from a far, and work well independently. Management will expect this individual to innovate and improve processes to help streamline overall objectives.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Managing Spark's vendors ensuring Spark's integrity and driving performance and quality

  • Perform ongoing training with vendors, including field and classroom training

  • Provide analytical analysis/ feedback via weekly reporting

  • Provide coaching and feedback on sales performance to third party vendors

  • Must be personable and able to adapt to a variety of personalities

  • Collaborate cross functionally with other Spark groups; Operations, Regulatory, Commissions

  • Responsible for identifying and recommending process improvement solutions for increased overall performance, productivity and capability.

  • Demonstrates the will and capacity to continuously pursue aspirational improvements representative of a high performing organization

  • Effectively engages and collaborates with people outside of direct functional area of responsibility

  • Communicates effectively in clear, thorough and timely manner through all means, including active listening and professional body language

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree or equivalent experience required

  • 2+ years of retail energy experience

  • Willing to travel up to 80%, has worked remote in the past

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with MS Suite, advanced knowledge in spreadsheet, database and presentation development applications.

  • As this is a fast-paced environment with changing requirements, job flexibility is a necessity

Responsibilities include driving sales quality and performance including improvement plans in order to achieve business objectives and compliance. The individual will ensure vendor training and procedures are aligned with Marketing and Regulatory teams. He/She will ensure marketing materials efficiently utilized to assist with sales process. This individual will work closely with management as well as other groups; Regulatory, Operations, Commissions etc, he/she must be comfortable presenting and articulating data to and from the vendor, without compromising the relationship. Management will expect this individual to innovate and improve processes to help streamline overall objectives. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Provide support and oversight of Spark Energy's sales quality program to ensure continuity across all sales channels. * Managing Spark's vendors ensuring Spark's integrity and driving performance and quality (including utilizing company sales quality tools and systems) * Ensure all current sales enrollment standards are met and work to continuously improve and re-define these standards and integrate with touch points within the sales experience. * Assist with ongoing training with vendors, including field and classroom training * Ensure all sales quality daily, weekly and monthly documentation and reporting requirements are met. * Provide analytical analysis/ feedback via weekly reporting; ensure feedback loop to other functions to apply learning's in support of continuous improvement. * Collaborate cross functionally with other Spark groups; Operations, Regulatory, Commissions to effectively deploy the Spark Energy Sales Quality Program. * Responsible for the management and resolution of all Spark Energy residential sales related customer complaints and associated reporting. * Responsible for identifying and recommending process improvement solutions for increased overall performance, productivity and capability. * Demonstrates the will and capacity to continuously pursue aspirational improvements representative of a high performing organization * Effectively engages and collaborates with people outside of direct functional area of responsibility * Communicates effectively in clear, thorough and timely manner through all means, including active listening and professional body language * Perform other duties and projects as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * College degree or equivalent experience required * 2 – 4 years of previous success and experience with retail energy sales quality * Must possess superior interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively across a variety of functional areas with management and people of all levels * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficient with MS Suite, advanced knowledge in spreadsheet, database and presentation development applications. * Door to Door, Direct Sales, Call Center Management, Vendor Management experience a plus * As this is a fast-paced environment with changing requirements, job flexibility is a necessity while managing multiple tasks and priorities in order to meet established deadlines.
