Responsibilities

About this role:

Be a part of GM's vision to create a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion. The Vendor Management Analyst II is responsible for the governance oversight and support of vendor activities to achieve the goals and objects of the organization. This position works with internal stakeholders and external vendors to oversee regulatory and contractual obligations are met. The Vendor Management Analyst II ensures all applicable department and global policy requirements are met.

JOB DUTIES

  • Cost of engagement

  • Review existing vendor contracts and upon renewal, if we do renew, recommend adjustments to align with the existing preferred vendor contracts.

  • Build a strong relationship with the vendors performing IT delivery work for GMF

  • Assist in the design and development of vendor management processes

  • Serve as the Liaison between the vendor and internal stakeholders and assist with issue resolution

  • Coordinate with the GMF leadership teams to gather performance feedback on the vendors for each engagement.

  • Provide feedback to the vendors on a quarterly basis/ each engagement regarding their performance with areas for improvement.

  • Design, create and operationalize a new vendor performance management framework / scorecard to bring visibility on our vendors

  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of an organization (verbal and written) on a regular basis

  • Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking

  • Must be skilled and highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience and Education

  • 3-5 years in a Vendor Management Department, Purchasing Department or functionally related area required

  • High School Diploma required

  • Associate Degree in related field of vendor management, accounting or finance or 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of vendor management, accounting or finance or 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred

  • Master's Degree in related field of vendor management, accounting or finance or 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred
