Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Director or Deputy Director, and the Supervisory Vendor Liaisons, the Vendor Liaison will:
Review and evaluate WIC Vendor Contracts and Compliance with WIC Program regulations; will be responsible for maintaining computer databases and vendor enrollment file documentation.
Compliance Inspections of WIC Vendors in the field.
Provide Training to WIC Vendors on rules and regulations.
Prepare and maintain Vendor database including new and inactive vendor status entries.
Reviews and logs the automated Vendor Application Time line, using application-related documents and staff notes to record dates and notes.
Assists in maintaining a database of active and inactive vendors.
Reviews new vendor enrollment forms, prior to submission to Bureau of Investigative
Services, to ensure the accuracy of information recorded by vendor liaisons on: WIC contracts; bank designation forms and letters; and vendor transaction forms, etc.
Reviews monitoring-related documents prepared by field staff for accuracy and completeness of monitoring reports, worksheets, and price stock surveys.
Prepares high price and low volume letters monthly.
Prepares new vendor files, and ensures that files are complete and accurate and that documents are consistent with information recorded in the Vendor Application Timeline.
Assists in miscellaneous data entry or other projects related to the application enrollment process, monitoring, or training.
Monitors stores to evaluate the adequacy of WIC food stock and prices on a scheduled assignment.
Records and documents monitoring results on approved monitoring forms and maintain up-to-date vendor files and WICSIS documentation and notes.
Assists in miscellaneous data entry or other projects related to the application enrollment process, monitoring or training.
Assists in the backlog of application-related activities such as typing contracts, issuing vendor stamps, and meeting with WIC vendor applicants to explain the application process and clarifying for vendors, when needed, whether vendor meets eligibility.
Provides mandated initial, routine and ad hoc training. Assists in the preparation of vendor training kits for dissemination at training sessions, and ensures that kits are accurate and complete. Documents training results in WICSIS.
Assists vendors in the correct process to change status, banks, and/or address and coordinates these changes with the state agency
Qualification & Requirements
College graduate with B.A. or B.S.
Computer knowledge, especially word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and data entry.
Ability to communicate in a second language is preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to communicate with diverse groups.
Field work experience.
Must have a valid driver's licencse.
