External Description: Essential duties and responsibilities:
Create and complete the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for vehicle programs assigned to them.
Leads durability portion of DVP&R throughout the program.
Leads the durability and performance testing of integrated systems and full vehicle tests.
Be a resource to systems engineers to collect data or test design improvements for the resolution of incident reports opened.
Field test planning, support, and issue resolution.
Help with the creation of documents, processes, and procedures for testing and validation of assigned products.
Communication of DVP&R status to project team and management.
Works collaboratively with the core Electrified & Autonomous Systems team to create and execute validation plans.
Interfaces with other subsystem engineers and other internal Polaris Teams as needed to ensure all functionality is compatible

Education, Skills and Knowledge:
B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or applicable Engineering required
Experience with software and/or hardware V&V efforts including MIL/SIL/HIL, other low-level software verification, and related documentation strongly preferred; experience with, or understanding of, MATLAB/Simulink is preferred
Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA, SFMEA), and Functional Safety strongly preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced development environment required
Experience with vehicle control strategies is strongly preferred
Experience in effective problem solving and troubleshooting required, including familiarity with data processing and collection tools
Experience with communication networks strongly preferred, CAN and J1939 preferred
Demonstrated understanding and experience of field and lab testing with reliability metrics and targets.
Experience in project management preferred
