Position Summary:

As a Customer Service Fueler/Washer you are critical in helping to keep our customers moving by ensuring their vehicles are fueled up, safe, and ready to go. If you are motivated, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and interested in a stable career, you can join our team of over 6000 vehicle repair associates at hundreds of locations nationwide, many of those who started in this role and developed to become diesel technicians.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • A valid driver's license is required.

  • The ability, interest, and willingness to work outdoors required

  • A positive, customer service attitude and effective communication skills

  • Basic mechanical aptitude preferred, demonstrated past problem solving, tool usage, and repair experience

  • Basic computer skills required for data entry into Penske maintenance systems.

  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background screening to include criminal checks, past employment and education), the ability to pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and potential travel within a near geography for training are required.

The dispatcher communicates with clients and fueler agents through computers, telephones, and two-way radios. Dispatchers are available at all times during the shift to answer questions and provide guidance from/to drivers and fueler agents.<br></p><p><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS</strong><br></p><ul> <li>Keeps track of progress fueler agents make during their shift with regard to delivering customer loads.</li> <li>Records fueler agents’ on and off time and transfers these records to the appropriate file.</li> <li>Ensures that requests made by the client regarding fuel loads, A/C servicing sequence, etc., are acted on and completed.</li> <li>Communicates with Operations, customer and drivers concerning fuel loads and arrival and departure information.</li> <li>Maintains safety and security of the fueling equipment at all times to comply with Company and Federal/State safety procedures and policies.</li> <li>Processes fuel service records, fuel truck logs, fuel delivery documents and other associated documentation to create appropriate records/archives in accordance with company procedures.</li> <li>Arrives at work on time and in work position to ensure prompt servicing of the trucks for on-time departure.</li> <li>May perform other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Arranges schedules for workers, equipment, and/or service vehicles for the conveyance of materials and products. </li> <li>Maintain communications with all interested parties throughout the delivery process to insure and facilitate the best possible product delivery and service. </li> <li>Update information and systems as required.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, (KSA) and experience needed to perform this job successfully.
