Position Summary: Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a qualified Vehicle Mechanic. This position is responsible for safe maintenance of automobiles, equipment and amusement rides.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Perform maintenance rehab, repair, inspection and troubleshooting of park vehicles, equipment and certain park attractions to ensure their safe and efficient operation
Perform the ride inspection programs in accordance with the standards set by Six Flags, Ride Manufacturers, ASTM and the State of Georgia.
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning vehicles, equipment and amusement rides as necessary
Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gearbox drive systems etc.
Perform preventative maintenance on park vehicles, equipment and amusement rides on a rotating basis as assigned.
Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventative maintenance
Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
Diagnose and repair/replace faulty mechanical components, such as gasoline and diesel engines, vehicle suspension, transmissions, brakes, etc.
Respond to work orders and conduct mechanical repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.
Adhere to park policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $27.85-$37.13 per hour (depending on level of experience). Work in excess of 40 hours per week is paid at 1.5x standard pay rate.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, engine repair and ability to proficiently weld.
Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments.
Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management
Ability to write, speak and understand English.
Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
Ability to work outside in any weather condition and on weekends, evenings and holidays.
Valid Drivers' License and clean DMV report.
Employees are required to supply their own hand tools.
