Responsible for the software development and calibration of vehicle driveline systems. Work with internal and customer vehicle development staff to develop vehicle controls in line with customers' requests, regulatory requirements and standard testing protocols and systems.
Develop control algorithms and hardware actuator models for advanced driveline products. Model, simulate, test and validate developed algorithms/models for optimum vehicle performance. Integrate control software and production hardware into customer demonstration vehicles.
Maintain Control System integrity and parameter sets to achieve the patterns and/or parameters established for the project. Execute off-site vehicle testing in US including providing customer technical support and solve field problems when needed. Apply and adapt control systems templates to meet customer requirements. Troubleshoot problems with Vehicle Engineering, Control Algorithm Development and Control Systems and Software.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Requires Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or foreign educational equivalent.
Candidate must have a minimum of one year of experience in the position offered, or in a similar position, such as Powertrain Control Development Engineer. Experience must include controls algorithm development, testing and validation, using Matlab/Simulink, Targetlink, Dspace ETAS Inca and Vector CAN tools.
