General Summary:

The Vehicle Condition Assessor (VCA) position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assessing, recording, and communicating information about appraisals to Buyers/Sr. Buyers/Purchasing Managers for analysis, assisting with customer transfers, completing lot merchandising activities, securing vehicles, and assisting the Purchasing team with additional daily functions as needed. A VCA may also be responsible for various wholesale auction responsibilities.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments by collecting, recording, and communicating all required information about customer appraisals for a Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Purchasing Manager's analysis.

  • Accurate optioning of vehicles customer appraisals and CarMax inventory.

  • Perform quality and timely imaging of inventory for

  • Complete vehicle secures, including reading and verifying appraisal sheet information for any discrepancies.

  • Complete vehicle walkarounds including communicating information accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Assist Purchasing Department with maintaining inventory and executing customer transfers.

  • Partner with Inventory and Sales Departments to conduct lot merchandising, as needed.

  • Assist the Purchasing Department with various other projects and office duties, as needed.

  • Complete assigned tasks independently and follow up after completion.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires walking, bending, kneeling or standing for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work outdoors or in any inclement weather environment for several hours

  • Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, holidays

  • Requires CarMax work clothing to be worn at all times when working in the store (acquired through CarMax World)

VIEW JOBS 12/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-18T00:00 <p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking experienced assessors to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with federal real property assessment. Location is flexible (San Antonio, TX preferred), but must be available for travel to client and job sites within the United States as needed, typically on a 2-week on, 2-week off schedule. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>&bull; Conduct structural and exterior component inventory and condition assessments of federal real property </p><p>&bull; Perform and oversee accurate inventory of assets, condition and space utilization </p><p>&bull; Input inspection information and documentation into BRED according to <strong>BUILDER</strong> <strong>SMS</strong> structure. </p><p>&bull; Photographic documentation of BUILDER sections and components. </p><p>&bull; Follow U.S. Air Force assessor&rsquo;s manual to ensure the appropriate quantity and quality of data is collected in the field </p><p>&bull; Verify that assets match baseline real property inventory information, flag inconsistencies, and detail recommended corrections </p><p>&bull; Perform QA/QC on field forms and reports &bull; Prepare and submit electronic data forms in a timely fashion </p><p>&bull; Maintain a functional awareness of the typical hazards of the work place </p><p>&bull; Ensure safety policies, procedures and practices are followed by the team </p><p><strong>Qualifications (Education and Experience):</strong> </p><p>&bull; A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in architecture, construction management, engineering or related field preferred </p><p>&bull; Minimum three years&rsquo; experience in asset management including building electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems </p><p>&bull; Completion of <strong>BUILDER</strong> <strong>SMS </strong>training </p><p>&bull; Strong knowledge of <strong>BUILDER </strong><strong>SMS</strong> and BRED methods of inspection and data input with tablets </p><p>&bull; Experience with federal real property assessment, facility condition assessment, or <strong>BUILDER</strong> <strong>SMS</strong> assessment and related software preferred </p><p>&bull; Must have excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and technical writing skills </p><p>&bull; BEAP and/or ICC certification a plus</p><p><strong>BUILDER&nbsp;</strong><strong>SMS</strong><strong>Information can be found here:&nbsp; </strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Our client is a seasoned veteran- and woman-owned small business providing expertise and innovation across the resilience, environmental, restoration, and compliance service sectors.
