Vehicle Care Specialist
As a Vehicle Care Specialist, you will report to the Regional Director and be responsible for prospecting and gaining new business as well as growing and maintaining current clients. Managing your territory you will call on conveyor, in-bay, self-serve, and fleet operations accounts, leveraging a consultative approach to convey our value proposition, and providing exceptional customer service. You'll be selling multiple brands of quality vehicle care products. These are not commodities sold merely on price, but specialty products that will satisfy the most meticulous vehicle owners. You'll also sell promotional and merchandising programs designed to increase wash trials and boost loyalty.
Retain and grow sales in current accounts and sell new accounts to consistently exceed sales budget and control expenses.
Proactively identify and analyze important problems before the customer brings them to the company's attention.
Identify, prepare and present recommendations for products, processes and programs with compelling business case; fully utilize sale tools, models and the Consulting Sales Person (CSP) Program.
Help customers develop their business and improve their profitability.
Identify and build rapport with key customer contacts and decision makers.
Complete installations, repairs and/or maintenance of equipment on 20-30% of all customer calls.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and long term sales and service plans for both the territory and each customer.
Develop strategic plans for completing sales and service calls with new and existing customers; adjust plans to accommodating changing priorities and urgent requests.
Develop strategies that increase new account penetration, bring new business on efficiently and create a long-term, fully committed customer base
Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings including Vehicle Care Academy.
Collect overdue invoices from customers and maintain Days Sales Outstanding (D.S.O.) ratio at or below company standards. Prepare meaningful, well organized customer service reports on timely basis.
Develop and implement quarterly and annual objectives with customers that will improve business performance. Quantify and merchandise the profitability and value delivered to the customer.
Support and assist with Corporate Account Manager and Distributor Sales Manager initiatives.
High School diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of previous sales experience
Flexibility to work emergency calls at night/on weekends/holidays
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Computer proficiency, including outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Mechanical / technical sales or service experience
Strong customer service and account retention skills
Strong new account development skills
Understanding of sales processes and ability to implement them in the field
Exceptional interpersonal, phone and written communication, and presentations skills
Strong follow-up and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
