The Business Systems Analyst, Veeva Solutions is responsible for providing direction and technical support for our client's Veeva CRM and Veeva Vault installations; which includes identifying business requirements, coordinating implementation of system changes, running UAT sessions, providing functional system support, and interfacing with Sales, Sales Operations, Business Analytics, and Training groups to ensure effective solution adoption. This position will engage various user groups to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement and maintain the Veeva environments.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring Veeva applications meet business needs by designing business enhancements, optimizing business processes, and addressing process gaps
  • Performing administrative functions in the Veeva CRM and Vault platforms; maintain user accounts, load data reports, resolve end-user technical and functional issues and monitor and report on system performance and utilization
  • Managing and triaging the operations support queue for incidents, service requests and enhancements
  • Preparing and facilitating User Acceptance Testing sessions with end users
  • Partnering with the Data Management group on Master Data Management projects and activities
  • Functioning as Project Leader for various upgrade and process improvement efforts
  • Managing internal and external resources engaged in the development and support of Veeva CRM and Veeva Vault
  • Providing Level 1 support for our HQ, Sales, Marketing end-users
  • Authoring and maintaining user and functional requirements, managing user acceptance testing, as well as documenting, managing and implementing system change requests
  • Supporting the delivery of end-user training
  • Maintaining Veeva system certifications and knowledge
  • Maintaining knowledge of the Veeva platform and related solution industry, objectively understands and evaluates the capabilities of tools and technologies; compares with the needs of the business and recommends potential solutions to business leadership


  • BS/BA degree is required, preferably in a technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulated environments such as bio-pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industry is strongly preferred
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Veeva and/or CRM as well as Veeva Vault configuration and support is highly preferred
  • Veeva Qualifications/Certifications a major plus especially across CRM, Vault and Network
  • Solid domain knowledge of Master Data Management workings and processes such as Veeva Network/Reltio
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work within a cohesive, fast-moving project team
  • Must have willingness to learn new skills and be flexible with change
  • Demonstrated experience with IT processes including User Requirements gathering, Project Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences
  • Very proficient with MS Excel
  • Some proficiency with Word, Powerpoint
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Qlik or Tableau, and/or experience with other querying and reporting tools
  • Some training or user support experience a plus
  • Some system testing / user acceptance testing experience a plus
  • Flexibility to work out of Titusville and Horsham, as necessary

They are also responsible for translating requirements to functional specifications for the developers,as well as participates in testing and launch. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Identifies, gathers and understands business needs, processes, and requirements from business stakeholders. Facilitates the analysis of requirements, and estimates effort. * Facilitates design requirements meetings with product and business owners. * Effectively documents requirements and maintains document repositories. * Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications. * Participates in product demonstrations with product and business owners. * Works with developers to ensure they are following processes and standards. * Collaborates with team to assist in development of test case strategy and execution of User Acceptance Testing * Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management or end users, and the software development and systems teams. * Analyzing and communicating stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements. * Documenting and evaluating required data and information. * Using modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through to enhance project success. * Developing specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow * Recommends and helps implement new systems, procedures, or changes * Look for opportunities to improve or implement processes to improve productivity, quality, and performance for the team. * In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making * Testing: Write UAT scripts; perform functionality testing & co-ordinate end-user testing * Suggest use of CRM workflow technology to automate business processes * Promotes teamwork and communication to encourage an interactive, cooperative, collaborative and customer focused work environment among division, EDA staff and external customers. * Must complete annual and semiannual self-assessment as required. * Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.
