Vcsu Student Assistant - Marketing & Communications

Reports to: Director for Marketing and Communications

Position Summary:

As a student assistant in the marketing and communication office, your primary role is to support those offices with video production, photography, social media content, writing and web content. Work up to 10-20 hours per week, which includes some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Video Production, photography, web content, social media content, writing/proofing of content

• Performs other duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position.

• Must be a positive role model on and off the job.

• Must know and abide by all University rules and regulations.

• Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Be a full-time undergraduate student (basic).

• Minimum of 10 hours per week

• Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.

• TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED

• Skill in observing situations.

• Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.

• Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player.

• Experience with customer service- common courtesy in working with students, employees, and the public.

• Good organization and time management skills.
