Patients Medical Center (PMC) provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized serviceswound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women's services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.

POSITION SUMMARY

Operates ultrasound equipment and Performs a variety of technical diagnostic procedures which encompass the specialty areas of Peripheral Vascular Imaging. Provides a preliminary report of procedure completed.

Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic tests inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, documentation of findings, under the direct supervision of the supervisor and/or Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager. Assists patients with basic patient care needs. Provides emergency care, notifying appropriate personnel and Ensures that patient safety is not jeopardized.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Licensure

Required:

Associate's Degree health related program in a related medical field, which include seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound OR one year certificate preferred

  • Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RVT or RDCS -OR- Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS

Minimum Experience

  • Three (3) years related experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good communication and written skills

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Performs all duties of a Peripheral Vascular Tech I
2.Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
3.Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.
4.Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, other diagnostic areas to ensure that the patients receive their diagnostic procedures in a smooth, efficient and safe manner.
5.Performs portable examinations at the bedside to ensure patient safety as well as provide immediate diagnostic testing when needed.

Responsibilities: * Assemble and repair equipment and materials per the production department and company's quality system procedures * Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to perform repair of equipment in accordance with quality standards * Maintain maintenance records and schedules * Interpret maintenance manuals, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical schematics * Maintain a 5S work environment * Work and promote safety in the work place * Perform other duties as assigned Relationships: * The Maintenance Technician II will report directly to the Production Engineer and Production Manager. however, may also receive direction from other managers. Requirements Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent * 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment * Hands on experience with engineering drawings and specifications, ability to read and interpret diagrams and bill of materials * Exhibit good knowledge of safety, electrical, air, hydraulic, mechanical ability. * Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 * Good Working knowledge and use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment. * Experience in Excel and Microsoft Word * Good Communication skills * Ability to work in a team environment with fellow employees and managers * Flexibility to work priority schedules and overtime Physical Requirements: * Stand up to eight hours per day * Ability to work in a seated or standing position Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
