This position is 32 hours per week: 8 hour shifts, variable day time hours (between 7a-7p). Weekend rotation required.
Perfect for a nurse with a passion for vascular access: placing and maintaining a variety of lines as well as participating in infection prevention measures, with a focus on safety & quality outcomes.

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred
At least 2 years of RN Acute Care experience, preferred
VA-BC (Vascular Access Board Certified) certification, preferred
Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills
Proven and demonstrated autonomous critical thinking skills
