Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies, Surveillance Solutions (L3Harris SS) Division, is a developer of modern military electronics.

We design and develop Electronic Warfare Support (ES) systems, also referred to as Electronic Support Measures (ESM). These provide our customers around the world with the ability to passively monitor and understand how the transmit spectrum is being used across the battlespace. Our ESM systems detect radar emitters (R-ESM), and Communications emitters (C-ESM). In addition, we provide the longer-term collection of spectrum data for use in developing and maintaining comprehensive threat libraries. This capability is known as Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) which helps military customers to develop insights on how to safely operate in conflict areas and provides an indication of threat types that may be encountered.

L3Harris SS provides the surveillance solutions to provide the capability and the flexibility required for mission success.

  • New Business Proposals
  • Assists with technical and cost proposals for new opportunities as well as for upgrades and technical refresh of systems in our installed base of Radar systems
  • Requirements Management
  • Converts customer requirements or product requirements into total systems requirements which are verifiable by Inspection, Analysis, Demonstration or Testing. These solutions acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Uses IBM Rational DOORS requirements management tool
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software requirements. Assists the design teams (hardware, software and firmware) to flow down and link system requirements to design requirements

  • Systems Engineering Lead

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation. Analyzes cost, risk and supportability and effectiveness for total systems
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product development to include reliability, maintainability, availability, fault detection, fault isolation, Built in Test (BIT) penetration, EMI/EMC, and others

  • Manage risk and opportunity with internal and external customers; work with technical team to identify, mitigate and close program risks

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interact, anticipate and respond to customer needs

  • Work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing situations

  • Solves problems using imaginative solutions


  • 6+ years with Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Master of Science in EE desirable

  • Experience with radio frequency (RF) systems including radar, communications or electronic support

  • Exposure to subsystems of electronic systems such as antennas, receivers, transmitters, and signal processing

  • Experience with integrating hardware, software and firmware and conducting system level testing to verify proper operation, and that the system meets all requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical foundation with RF and digital systems to be mentored to become a subject matter expert for Electronic Support or Radar systems

  • Tool experience: Matlab; IBM Rational DOORS or equivalent; Microsoft Office suite

VIEW JOBS 2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-15T00:00 The Management Area Waste Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the Charter-Spectrum Waste and Recycling Program for an assigned geographical area as directed by the Management Area Safety Manager. Responsibilities include: Leading various California Environmental compliance efforts including understanding and interpretation of waste regulations and requirements for Charter, recordkeeping, and submission of regulatory reports to the State of CA related to waste and chemical management. Develop and implement environmental and waste-related training within Management Area Develop and support environmental and waste programs for Spectrum Stores and Tech Center locations including non-hazardous and hazardous materials management, trash and recycling segregation and waste hauler liaison, universal and hazardous waste management physical maintenance and organization of the waste storage/management areas waste characterization/determination including proper segregation, containerizing, labeling and preparing for shipment, other EHS (environmental, health and safety) compliance with federal, state and local regulations including DOT and RCRA requirements, OSHA and California specific regulations and requirements. Serve as the main point of contact (POC) for Charter's emergency response vendor in relation to incidental spill/leak/release cleanup activities. Liaison with Management Area Safety, Field Operations and facilities teams responsible for the generation of waste. Communicate and escalate EHS and waste management -related concerns with all levels of Management EHS-related issues as identified to Safety, Facilities, and Operations. Review program operations through audits and inspections for compliance, identify program strengths and weaknesses and areas of non-compliance, and recommends corrective action. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Hazardous Waste Training Certificate (RCRA) DOT Hazmat Transportation 49 CFR 172.704 training 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification Experience operating powered industrial trucks Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years old 2-3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience in CA Waste Management Ability to take and pass the RCRA/DOT training course Experience with inventory, bin types, containers, and tools used to move product in warehouses Ability to work extra hours as required Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer) Understanding of Shipping, Receiving and Operations processes. Strong written and oral communication skills at all levels Possess organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and work with the highest level of accuracy Able to work productively in an independent or team setting. Self-motivated and proactive Able to prioritize work The ability to lift/move items that weigh up to 65 pounds Ability to operate material handling equipment.
