L3Harris Technologies, Surveillance Solutions (L3Harris SS) Division, is a developer of modern military electronics.
We design and develop Electronic Warfare Support (ES) systems, also referred to as Electronic Support Measures (ESM). These provide our customers around the world with the ability to passively monitor and understand how the transmit spectrum is being used across the battlespace. Our ESM systems detect radar emitters (R-ESM), and Communications emitters (C-ESM). In addition, we provide the longer-term collection of spectrum data for use in developing and maintaining comprehensive threat libraries. This capability is known as Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) which helps military customers to develop insights on how to safely operate in conflict areas and provides an indication of threat types that may be encountered.
L3Harris SS provides the surveillance solutions to provide the capability and the flexibility required for mission success.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software requirements. Assists the design teams (hardware, software and firmware) to flow down and link system requirements to design requirements
Systems Engineering Lead
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product development to include reliability, maintainability, availability, fault detection, fault isolation, Built in Test (BIT) penetration, EMI/EMC, and others
Manage risk and opportunity with internal and external customers; work with technical team to identify, mitigate and close program risks
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interact, anticipate and respond to customer needs
Work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing situations
Solves problems using imaginative solutions
6+ years with Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Master of Science in EE desirable
Experience with radio frequency (RF) systems including radar, communications or electronic support
Exposure to subsystems of electronic systems such as antennas, receivers, transmitters, and signal processing
Experience with integrating hardware, software and firmware and conducting system level testing to verify proper operation, and that the system meets all requirements
Technical foundation with RF and digital systems to be mentored to become a subject matter expert for Electronic Support or Radar systems
Tool experience: Matlab; IBM Rational DOORS or equivalent; Microsoft Office suite
