Position Details:

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of residents to appointments, activities and programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, respecting dignity and confidentiality standards while promoting resident rights.

  • Responsible for carrying a current State Driver's License, knowing the location of insurance documentation, as well as fire extinguisher, road flares, and emergency road equipment. The ability to demonstrate the proper usage of this equipment.

  • Responsible for familiarity with transportation of disabled persons and adhering to the Prestige policies and procedures regarding the transportation of residents in a safe manner including the use of appropriate seating restraints.

  • Held responsible for ensuring that smoking is prohibited in Prestige vehicles.

  • Responsible for immediate notification to Executive Director of any accident, damage, personal injury or behavioral incidents taking place during any trip.

  • Responsible for adhering to all local or state motor vehicle laws, rules and regulations.

  • Responsible for completing the Prestige Vehicle Trip Log at time of each trip and for completing a weekly Vehicle Inspection form, with identified repairs or adjustments reported to the Executive Director for immediate resolution.

  • Responsible for reporting any ticket or summons received, (either while driving their personal auto or while in a Prestige vehicle) to the Executive Director.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma and a valid, current driver's license in the State. Knowledgeable of the area streets and locations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid commercial Class B driver's license with Passenger Endorsement or ability to immediately obtain one at offer. Submit to Company and DOT physical testing and drug testing policies. Submit to requests to check status of State driving and licensing records at intervals determined by the company.

We currently have a Delivery Driver position available at our Western Stockmen's facility in Sunnyside, WA. SUMMARY Operates gasoline and/or diesel powered tractor/trailer combinations to transport agriculture products such as feed commodities and other materials in loose or packaged form. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Operates a tractor/trailer combination to transport agriculture products and feed commodities in regional delivery area. * Assists in loading and unloading of products with the ability to operate forklift and lift up to 50 pounds. * Completes pre- and post-trip inspections, checking for defects. Checks all equipment including lights, brakes, tires, etc. Replenishes fluids such as fuel, oil and water. Maintains truck and trailer to include washing both. * Maintain a daily driver's log in compliance with Company policy and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. * Follows all regulations and laws, maintaining DOT and DMV standards with regards to safe transport. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; minimum of one year over-the-road driving experience and/or equivalent training from a certified driving school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. REQUIREMENTS Must possess and maintain a valid CDL/DOT Class A driver's license, with all endorsements except buses. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, road signs, maps, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Must be able to pass DOT physical, both written and driving tests, and have a thorough knowledge of DOT driving regulations. Work days may include nights, weekends and holidays, depending on business need and delivery schedule. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes, dirt and dust, or airborne particles and vibration. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
