Valve Technician - Entry Level

Ferguson is currently seeking a Valve Technician to join our Valve & Automation Team! If you enjoy working with your hands, learning new things every day & challenging your mechanical skill then this job is for you!

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and build manual valves into automated valve assemblies.

• Receive, pull, and package material.

• Perform some miscellaneous machining including drilling, tapping, cutting, threading, and grinding.

• Willing to learn new tasks from a team of experienced associates and be comfortable working in a shop environment.

• Respect and comply with all safety protocol.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating machinery for fabrication and the use of cutting and drilling materials preferred.

• Previous electrical experience as a trade or in conjunction with a previous position is a plus.

• Valve assembly and/or valve repair experience is a plus.

• Ability to do some basic welding is preferred, but not required.

• Must have excellent mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things.

• Demonstrate basic math skills.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Job is mainly on one's feet all day

• Ability to work overtime if requested.

Please Note: Field visits required but overnight travel is rare

• Pay Range:

• $17.17 - $25.76

• Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

• This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
