This is a 2nd shift position.

BAE Systems is looking for a Factory Value Stream Leader for their Austin, Texas facility. The VSL role is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, leading, and managing activities within a team-based manufacturing environment.

Major areas of responsibility include establishing and improving manufacturing capabilities for highly technical products and programs. A successful candidate will provide motivation, coaching, and leadership to team members to insure the accomplishment of business objectives including meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost and company objectives. Maintain an effective and efficient organization while effectively communicating responsibilities and objectives to employees.

Select, train, and assign personnel to fulfill position requirements. Work effectively with customers and suppliers as well as supporting functions for work critical to the business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience utilizing Lean Enterprise concepts to meet or exceed business and customer requirements.

The ability to work flexible hours and days to meet objectives is highly desirable. Adhere to the highest standards of legal, ethical, and business conduct in relationships with fellow employees, the Company, suppliers, customers, and the public.

Bridge Inspection Specialist II: * Ensures prompt notification and/or repair of any deterioration or damage that could be hazardous to the traveling public or more costly to repair if neglected. * Performs fracture-critical bridge member inspection. * Operates the basket on specialized bridge inspection equipment such as Boom lifts, Bucket Trucks, and Under Bridge Inspection Platforms. * Assists in maintaining inspection equipment. * Prepares and analyzes summaries of bridge inspection computer data. * Drives inspection vehicles to fracture critical structures statewide; requiring a class A or class B CDL. * Records data and maintains and reviews bridge inspection files for compliance with bridge inspection manuals. * Records data and maintains and reviews bridge inspection files for compliance with bridge inspection manuals. * Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
