MasterControl is looking for a detail-oriented, energetic Validation Engineer to join our team. The Validation Engineer will be responsible for to ensuring the quality of our internal and customer-facing validation products for the MasterControl software. This includes executing validation scripts, reviewing completed test results, and packaging them into a Transferrable validation product.

The Engineer will also submit defects and enhancements to improve the validation offerings and interact with Developers and other Software Quality and Corporate Quality personnel. They will perform other Software Quality duties, including assisting with bug verification, manual functional test execution, etc.


  • Review validation test scripts

  • Manually execute validation tests

  • Review validation test evidence

  • Productize MasterControl validation offerings

  • Initiate validation improvement suggestions and activities

  • Assist with other software testing and release activities, including:

  • Defect and enhancement verification

  • Manual functional test execution


  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat skills, including the use of macros, styles, document properties, etc.

  • Software testing background required

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail

  • Technical Writing background

  • Regulatory knowledge or experience

  • Test script or regulatory validation creation and execution experience


  • Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods of time

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, over the telephone and in e-mail

  • Bending, stooping and lifting are integral aspects of this position
