The Spirit of the Position:

Do you love driving cars? Meeting new people? Are you energetic and fast on your feet? Well then, we are looking for you. We are hiring Valet Attendants to woo our customers while parking their cars in a professional and responsible manner.

A LAZ Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.

What Will I Do?

  • Reliable and punctual attendance is paramount to this position.

  • Park and retrieve cars like a champ. This means carefully, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Greet all customers by name, take care of their needs, and develop a rapport with each person driving up to your stand.

  • Help direct traffic to keep the flow of cars clean and organized, all with a smile on your face!

  • Provide a self-reliant attitude when needed. Must be able to work with or without supervision.

  • Promote awesome customer relations. Smile, go above and beyond, make them love LAZ Parking the moment they meet you.

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address customer service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

  • Open doors and assist customers entering and leaving property.

  • Supply customers with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation and local areas of interest.

  • Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any safety hazards, unauthorized personnel, or potential security problems to the supervisor on duty.

  • Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys

  • Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

  • Strong customer service experience.

  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

  • Hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

  • Reliable transportation to and from job site(s) is required.

  • Able to drive a standard transmission vehicle is required.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.

  • Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

  • Ability to perform functions that require motions using hands, wrists and arms.

  • Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.

  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.

The Spirit of the Position: The Shuttle Driver effectively, efficiently and safely transports employees to and from their vehicles at the hospital. Principal Job Duties: * Greet customers, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, display a caring attitude, and develop a rapport with the customer base. * Assist customers with general information about local area. * Safely drive and maintain company vehicles when applicable. * Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times. * To work with and without supervision and follow direction of supervisors when requests are made * To effectively work in a team environment * Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle * Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: * Must be at least 25 years of age * Have a clean driving record (no moving violations in 3 years and no DUI's, suspended licenses etc. in 5 years) * Maintain a professional appearance (no body piercings or visible tattoos on forearms or legs) * Reliable transportation to and from work Skills: * Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. * Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language. * Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view. * Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. * Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement. * Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
