Job Summary
The Center for Astrodynamics Research (CCAR) is excited to announce their decision to hire a Lab Manager! This position will manage the operations of the Vision, Autonomy, and Decision Research Lab (VADeR) led by Prof. Marcus Holzinger. This role will interact with Prof. Holzinger, postdocs, research associates, graduate student members of the labs, and the CCAR / CU Boulder professional staff. Duties will focus on ensuring smooth operations in the labs by coordinating daily operations, scheduling, finances/purchasing, and external communications.

Who We Are
The Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research (CCAR) is dedicated to the study of astrodynamics and the application of satellites to science, navigation, and remote sensing of the Earth and planets.
Hosted by the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, CCAR was established in 1985 as a key component of the University of Colorado at Boulder's emphasis on space science. CCAR brings together a multidisciplinary group of faculty, staff, and students to enhance our understanding of the Earth and the solar system through satellite missions and observations.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Organization and Management of Labs:
Meeting management - scheduling, preparation, agendas, attend select meetings, take minutes, record actions and coordinate as tasks.
Lab task management - includes lab, hardware, and GRA / postdoc task management.
Task management - collaborate with professors to identify priorities, track results, calendaring and scheduling due dates, and completing delegated tasks.
Operations:
Collaborate with building manager and facilities management.
Equipment status & management.
Identify lab inefficiencies & propose solutions.
Build and maintain lab standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Communications:
Manage daily email communication for both labs, including daily status reports, daily tag-up meetings.
Collaborate with a variety of campus partners, including prospective students, postdoctorate candidates, and RA communications.
Manage the lab website & social media accounts.
Manuscript and note dictation, and presentation development and support.
What We Can Offer
The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 annually.

What We Require
Bachelor's degree.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
What You Will Need
The ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the labs and CCAR.
Outstanding customer service skills and capable of working as a member of a team within a collaborative work environment.
Excellent organizational and planning skills with an attention to detail.
Experience working with Microsoft Office and cloud-based services such as Dropbox and Google's C-Suite.
What We Would Like You to Have
Experience curating documentation and procedures in online environments (i.e., writing and maintaining Wiki pages).
Experience with cloud-based task management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Planner, Trello, GitLab).
