Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical quality expectations and compliance requirements are met.

  • Maintain a high level of customer service by communicating performance standards and expectations.

  • Provide coaching and feedback to staff to foster an environment of collaboration and clinical excellence.

  • Manage the clinic's financial performance, including P&L.

  • Manage growth strategy of new enrollees, current enrollment and retention, and outreach events.

  • Partner with Regional Leader to develop and implement long range plans and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing required/Master of Science in Nursing preferred

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania

  • One year of Primary Care or Chronic Disease management experience

  • Two years of management experience required; government healthcare environment preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, both in person and over the phone.

  • Ability to manage, both up and down

  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor

  • Strong service mentality and a focus on achieving all aspects of defined service standards

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Word and Excel

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet or exceed deadlines

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment without direct supervision

  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement and evaluate plan effectively

  • Ability to resolve colleague, client, and patient issues in an effective and timely manner.

  • Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (must be renewed periodically as specified by the certifying agency-AHA valid for two years)

We seek a Full Time Specialty Licensed Practical Nurses (Optometry/Podiatry) with a positive, outgoing demeanor for our dynamic team. No late nights, on-call or weekend hours * Work with leading-edge technologies and continuously advance and improve your knowledge and skills * Mentoring and supporting team members Responsibilities * Possesses the skills necessary for concentrated effort and self-direction in prioritizing and delivering complex practical nursing assignments that incorporate the patient's age, ethnic origin and any special needs. * Completes duties and responsibilities which involve performing non-standard and specialized practical nursing activities requiring broad experience under the general supervision of a Podiatrist * Delivers direct patient care to veterans of all ages necessitating the ability to observe subtle changes in patients and independently take appropriate actions to modify the treatment plan as needed with minimal supervision, * Regularly communicates with podiatrist, nurse manager or patient provider as needed for emergencies, unusual problems or deviations. * Incorporates current patient care data in actively contributing to a greater degree in the development and modification of a patient's overall health care plan and in carrying out assigned nursing interventions. * Recommends footwear to protect feet from problems by incorporating information from foot screenings to determine care needs specific to foot care. * Performs a variety of special foot care procedures such as debriding the toenails by cutting along the natural line of the nail, using mycotic nipper as needed and sharply debrides pedal keratosis with a scalpel as indicated and/or use of a power podiatric hand drill with sanding disc. * Recognizes potential urgent/emergent patient care situations and takes appropriate actions. * Exhibits skill, creativity, and initiative in contributing to the improvement of overall care and patient/family satisfaction levels through active participation in committees, task forces, or through developing patient education materials or media. * Actively promotes and incorporates established customer service standards in all aspects of their practice. * Receives and triages incoming requests for appointments from ancillary services, patient family members, and medical center staff and refers to the appropriate team member within the clinic. Takes appropriate actions based upon communications, observations, patient care reports, provider/staff discussion, and knowledge of Veteran population. Close collaboration with clinicians and non-VA clinicians to ensure continuity of care.
