We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell (FLRAA)Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) and the Bell 360 Invictus Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA), part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell's Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.

MV-22 Contractor Engineering Technician

Bell-Textron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MV-22 Contractor Engineering Technician (CET) to join our team. As a Contractor Engineering Technician, you will provide critical on-site academic instruction and on-equipment proficiency training to Navy, Marine Corps, and DOD civilian personnel. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, and operation of aircraft avionics, electrical, airframe, and powerplant systems and equipment, particularly the Built-in Test, routine maintenance, inspection, adjustment, and repair of MV-22 equipment.

What you'll be doing as a Contractor Engineering Technician

  • Provide on-site classroom and on-the-job training to Navy, Marine Corps, and DOD civilian personnel, Navy Engineering and Technical Services (NETS) Specialists, and other Government employees on maintenance and operation techniques related to MV-22 equipment, including controlled equipment.

  • Identify the need for training programs, create local training course outlines, lesson plans, and written examinations, while helping personnel identify required training programs.

  • Assist in the installation of modifications and provide technical guidance to resolve challenging maintenance issues.

  • Analyze maintenance difficulties and advise on changes to maintenance, inspection, and training programs to enhance maintenance quality.

  • Train and demonstrate the best methods for installations, modifications, and retrofit kits, with a heavy emphasis on safety precautions.

  • Assist in developing training plans and identifying programs to ensure personnel are trained to operate and maintain systems in accordance with Navy Technical Data.

  • Prepare training materials for the Government, including lesson guides, course outlines, training aids, and tests.

  • Offer on-site technical support to analyze and identify discrepancies in operation and maintenance procedures.

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • (5) years of extensive hands-on V-22 support experience within the Marines, Air Force, Navy, or Bell/Boeing organizations.

  • Excellent knowledge of V-22 aircraft systems and naval aircraft maintenance procedures are required.

  • Excellent communicator must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and provide training to small and large groups in a classroom environment, as well as individually.

  • Ability to work on technical projects without direct supervision.

  • May be required to travel to activities within Navy and Marine Corps organizations/commands.

Skills You Bring To this Role

What you need to be successful

Engineering Technician V shall have at least five (5) years practical hands-on experience within the last seven (7) years in direct support of tasks described herein. Two (2) years of this experience must have been at or above the journeyman level.
