Looking for a user experience design tailored to a web-based and mobile environment to provide user friendly workflows and an innovative graphical user interface.
This individual thrives in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must.

Responsibilities: Work with leadership and product owners to develop UX strategy for multiple platforms types Help to design solutions that are responsive and/or adaptive to varying platform form factors and screen widths.
Lead design and execution of highly usable and engaging user experience designs, frameworks and information architectures that focus on user goals and needs Develop interactive prototypes using the tools at hand Work closely with and provide guidance to developers, engineers and testers Manage multiple simultaneous UX research/design/engineering processes Be the owner of, and advocate for, the importance of excellent UX design in an engineering-heavy environment We are motivated to hire and relocation is available!

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (candidates not meeting this requirement will not be considered) BS degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science or related engineering field and 4-8 years experience including: Experience delivering UX for successful and innovative web and/or mobile products, including exposure to and hands-on experience with a variety of UX research techniques and familiarity with lean UX process Experience in producing UX designs and interaction prototypes using a variety of industry standard tools.

We're looking for an experienced designer who can create useful, intuitive, user-centered designs from project conception through execution. You'll be involved in the entire software development process to ensure the quality of the final product. It's not a small or easy task but is rewarding and fun. This position is located in our Carlsbad, California office. You will support team members and provide tactical deliverables to meet project needs and help develop concepts. You will produce quality workflow mappings, wireframes, prototypes, user flows and annotations with high attention to detail. Your work will be grounded in research activities including usability testing, heuristic reviews, and competitive analysis. Responsibilities: * Sketch and wireframe digital experiences * Design appropriate interactive experiences * Annotate complex interactions * Create user flows, workflow mappings, and other communication artifacts * Deliver clear information architecture in all deliverables * Design consistent interfaces and experiences across multiple devices * Work closely with stakeholders to design new features from the ground up * Consistent support to partner teams to successfully drive design that meets customer experience and business goals * Develop interactive prototypes with multiple states and roles (Axure, InVision, HTML, CSS, etc). * Communicate and articulate design rationales * Pitch and present designs to stakeholders for sign-off * Observe, document and interpret user research * Help lead company design initiatives * Partner with other disciplines to ensure high-quality work Skills We're Stoked About: * A four-year degree * Additional study in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Information Science, Interaction Design or Graphic Design discipline or related field and 3 years experience in User Experience design - OR - 5-7 years experience in User Experience design for web/mobile/desktop applications for front-end customer-facing companies * Enough research experience to be dangerous * A robust portfolio of work across multiple devices and platforms * Basic understanding of front-end development technologies * Familiarity with common social platforms * Knowledge and understanding of common design and interaction patterns utilized in web/mobile/desktop applications * Drive to continue to learn by staying up to date with industry news and developments * Exceptional presentation, communication and negotiation skills * Thorough understanding of responsive design * Agency experience desired Bonus Points for: * Experience developing user experience solutions with agile methodology * Ability to code working prototypes in HTML, CSS and other current technologies * JavaScript skills * Content Strategy skills * Qualitative Research GoPro Highlights * Fully-stocked kitchen with snacks galore * Live it.
