The work within Search Verticals is incredibly user focused, and core to the team's mission is delivering end-to-end UX solutions that help people with verticalized information needs across Google's product ecosystem including Search, Google Assistant, and more.

When we look at user needs within Search, we see people needing help making sense of their world across a range of topics, from immediate daily needs like checking the weather or scores for their favorite sports team, to longer-term needs like planning for college, a new career, or starting a family. As a UX Director for Search Verticals, you will help drive a user-centered vision for how to better help people in the key information needs within their life. This includes driving foundational research, defining product strategy, and leading cutting-edge design solutions across some of the most visible product surfaces in the world. You will work closely with senior cross-functional partners, and be a strong advocate for delivering non-pareil design solutions, while fostering a strong culture of innovation and collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and other key partners.

User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love. We strive to learn and understand our users' needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. Our UX teams include designers, researchers, content strategists, and engineers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work on collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products' unique capabilities and personalities. Our work touches billions while exemplifying a key principle that is core to Google's philosophy: "Focus on the user and all else will follow."
