About the Position

You will be responsible for working closely with internal teams across the organization to tackle UX challenges, big and small. Responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks from interaction design and visual design to designing and running usability tests. You will assist the development teams in shaping new features and concepts and to see them through to implementation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leading efforts for user experience and interface design by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for various products

  • Translating concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences

  • Working closely with development team on design implementation in an agile development environment

  • Designing and running usability tests

  • Cultivating and elevating the role of design in all projects

  • Incorporating both functionality and brand consistency throughout design process

  • Assisting in creation and updating of internal brand guidelines

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in design software such as Sketch, Axure, Omnigraffle, or inVision (basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a bonus)

  • Ability to work with teams to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision

  • A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns

  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design

  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval

  • Be excited to mentor and grow a team, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them

  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Experience:

  • 5+ years of User Experience Design experience

  • Experience designing enterprise-level websites, desktop software and cloud applications

  • Experience compiling and providing final specifications and assets to development team

  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of responsive design
