The creative group is looking for a visual designer that has a passion for DATA and DESIGN. TCG's established and recognized client is seeking a talented creative who can digest data and hone it down to be visually appealing and easy to understand with an emphasis on UX best practices. The ideal candidate is someone who truly understands the necessity of user-centric designs and can create visual solutions to represent large amounts of data, primarily on a mobile platform and for applications. This is the perfect role for someone who is passionate about driving data through beautiful and easy to use designs.

  • Conceptualize user-centric, responsive designs as create visual solutions (i.e. charts, graphs, etc.) for large amounts of data

  • Optimize these designs for mobile platforms and applications

  • Present and explain creative-process and purpose to stakeholders and other team members

  • Work closely with UX team and designers to assist with executing the UX best practices

  • Create mock-ups, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows as needed

  • Assist with user research process, including but not limited to interviews, surveys, observations, etc.

  • Value and participate in a highly collaborative environment by working with other teams including UX designers, product managers

Job Requirements

Responsibilities and requirements include:

  • User research and prototype testing

  • Data Visualization

  • Development of user flow diagrams and wireframes

  • Create high fidelity mock-ups demonstrating UI for a range of use cases

  • Work closely with engineers and product managers to create user stories and scenarios used for intuitive websites and mobile designs

  • Collaborate with UX team to determine branding and style guidelines

  • In-depth knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Demonstrated experience working through traditional UX design phases (user research, wireframes/story boards, mock-ups, HTML/CSS builds)

  • Mobile and responsive design experience required

  • Working HTML and CSS knowledge

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design or other applicable field

  • Ability to make critical-thinking decisions and recommendations

Design and build websites or Web-based applications. Support website development from requirements gathering to implementation and ongoing maintenance. Coordinate with project managers, graphics designers, and developers to design and implement holistic solutions. Employ cross-functional methodologies, including design thinking, user experience design, customer experience, and user-centered design to support the analysis, design, and development of new and existing systems. Create high and low fidelity wireframes and design artifacts. Diagram user flows, data flows, site architectures, and user interfaces. Analyze functional business requirements and design specifications and provide analyses and solutions for user interaction problems. Basic Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in a professional Web design or graphics role * Experience with creating UI design concepts for applications and Web sites * Experience with conducting customer segmentation analyses and comprehensive user research * Experience with new services, product development, and launches and the quantitative approach to problem solving and recommendation development * Experience with using proactive and independent research to identify industry insights, best practices, and applicable recommendation areas * Experience with supporting stakeholders and users in specific engagement interviews, workshops, and deliverable presentations * Ability to define and deliver key components of a customer experience improvement strategy, including analysis, recommendations, and implementation of road maps * Ability to decompose a problem logically, think through a technical approach, and attack the problem in a systematic way and engage and collaborate with peers, leadership, and cross-functional teams * TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph * HS diploma or GED Additional Qualifications: * Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite * BA or BS degree preferred Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
