In 2014, Amazon launched Kindle Unlimited, a digital reading subscription that provides members unlimited access to more than 1 million books, audiobooks and magazines. It soon became the most popular digital reading subscription in the world, empowering millions of book lovers to read, learn and explore on any device. Extending that goodness to Prime members worldwide, Amazon launched Prime Reading in 2016, a free Prime benefit for more casual readers.

The Kindle Design team, the folks who design the book shopping and reading experience of the top rated iOS and Android apps, eReaders, tablets and more, are seeking a talented and customer-obsessed UX Designer to join the team, in our downtown Seattle, WA location.

In this role, you will be owning the end-to-end UX of Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading programs. You will work closely with user research experts to identify customer pain points and innovation opportunities, delivering customer-facing solutions that are frictionless, elegant and delightful. You bridge the gap between strategic business goals and design priorities, resolving occasional conflicts while earning trust with key partners. You will present directly to a senior leadership team that values the power of design. The turnaround time is often tight, and the visibility is usually high. You will learn fast and grow fast.

You will have meaningful interactions with talented design peers in an inclusive, open-minded and fun working environment. Since both Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading have far-reaching impacts on the overall Kindle user experience, there will be a lot of opportunities for you to drive cross-feature initiatives and sharpen your leadership skills.

So if you are passionate about reading and learning. If you are a big thinker, a creative problem solver who jumps at delivering designs that inspire millions- join us, and let's build the future of reading together.

  • Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards at Amazon
