The ideal candidate is a UI designer with a strong eye for user experience and information architecture. This person will design unified, branded experiences that span multiple device types and interactions.

  • Ability to identify tradeoffs or alternative approaches to support the underlying business value proposition and the needs of the user.

  • Ability to challenge requirements and present alternative options to suggested requirements.

  • Provides mentorship to UI/UX designer and others in the development and APM roles by expressing design methodologies and data to back up decisions.

  • Regular collection of research findings and end points. Intermediate ability to organize findings into groupings for consumption.

  • Sharing and presenting ideas to Product team members using evidence-based design.

  • Translate complex requirements into thoughtful, user-centric experiences that reflect the brand

  • Work directly with the Consumer Applications Product Manager to envision, prototype, design, improve, and maintain a world-class consumer experience for Kasasa's mortgage product.

  • Ability to identify tradeoffs or alternative approaches to support the underlying business value proposition and the needs of the user.

  • Ability to challenge requirements and present alternative options to suggested requirements.

  • Excel at presenting ideas to Product team members using evidence-based design.

  • Provides mentorship to UI/UX designer and others in the development and APM roles by expressing design methodologies and data to back up decisions.

  • Collaborate with other UI/UX team members and Product Managers on identifying and developing design patterns

  • Work with Development to QA new features and ensure high-fidelity implementations of the vision

  • Stay abreast of platform best practices, design trends, internal branding requirements, and new technologies.

  • Experience working within an Agile development process including creating tickets, maintaining a backlog, and contributing to retros a plus

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree combined with 5 or more years of field-related experience.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • A clear understanding of the importance of human interface design guidelines/user-centered design.

  • Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision, Marvel, Axure, animation tools like After Effects or Principle

  • Ability to mentor junior designers and provide assistance with tools and techniques

  • Present and provide coaching for other on UX

  • Familiarity with iOS and Android application design techniques

  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S. without restriction
