UX Designer (eCommerce)

Mahwah, NJ

Long-term Contract (with possibility of full-time hire)

$40-50/hr (depending on experience)

As the User Experience Designer you will create, edit, update, improve and maintain high quality web content for a Fortune 500 Retailer of women's clothing. The UX Designer should be able to build relationships quickly, and understand the dynamics of a fast-paced retail eCommerce environment to be able to build content strategy. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and eCommerce Content Management Systems will be required on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of eCommerce website development or content management experience

High proficiency with HTML5 and CSS (through CSS3)

Experience with responsive web content development

Proficient with and ability to debug front end code issues

Familiarity with jQuery or other JS frameworks

Familiarity with SEO compliancy

Proficient in Web production tools, content management tools and Adobe Photoshop

Proficient with cross-platform and browser compatibility issues

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

Create daily promotional and content updates for eCommerece site.

Creation of HTML 5/CSS templates for online marketing initiatives

Experience with content deployment (Oracle Experience Manager and/or Oracle Business Control Center preferred)

Create and implement new custom content pieces using HTML, CSS and Javascript

Ensure website design and content meet copy, style guide, visual design standards, and brand standards.

Consult with appropriate partners to develop new and/or improve existing content.

Work with multiple teams to implement long-term/uniform content strategies.

The configuration process is highly collaborative; Application Specialists are expected to work with team members and clients as they work through needs and support products as they evolve. As an Application Specialist, you will be able to operate independently, though typically will work as part of a team with varying skill sets to create, configure, support, and deploy production applications. Mission * The Application Specialist generates professional services revenue and ensures customer success by: * Collaborating with Clients and other UpCurve staff to determine requirements, design and implement solutions as needed. * Configuring off-the-shelf customer facing applications * Preparing reports and related dashboards in supported applications * Writing functional specifications Desired Outcomes * Deliver customer projects on time and on budget. * Customer projects are well understood by the client manager, of high quality, fully tested, and fully documented. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities ~70% - Delivery & Execution: * Collaborates with other team members (UX, engineering, and product management) to configure scalable software solutions * Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met * Works with Team to ensure requirements and specifications are developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable * Configures commercial off the shelf solutions to align with evolving business needs * Creates meaningful dashboards, and reporting features as requested by clients ~20% - Support & Enablement: * Fields questions from colleagues and clients * Provides application support for both software running in production and development environments * Validates data conversion, imports, and automated integration * Collaborates with Technical Support and SugarCRM Support department when needed ~10% - Learning: * Participates in learning activities to stay up-to-date with client facing software packages * Proactively views articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations Minimum Qualifications * Must be eighteen years of age or older. * Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. * The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of an associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. * Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years * Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
