Job Description

  • IMPORTANT NOTE* This is an ongoing assignment but not a full-time job. So we could use someone for 6 to 12 months but it will not be everydaymore on a project base.

    We are looking for a UX Designer to design software and platforms that meet peoples needs. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems.

    A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential. Ultimately, you will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers. Responsibilities Understand product specifications and user psychology Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback Create personas through user research and data Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability) Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends Requirements 9+ years of experience Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role Strong portfolio of design projects Background in project management and research Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq) Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus Problem-solving aptitude Analytical mind with a business acumen Excellent communication skills BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

UX Designer Summary Our Senior UX Designer will help design and coordinate the building of our many innovative web applications. We build advanced software and web applications focused on assisting consumers in the health care industry to make it easy for them to right size their coverage at any time, ensuring they have access to the coverage and care they need as they need it. This includes public facing marketing websites, insurance exchanges, sales CRM systems, client, agent, and administrative management portals. We embrace the newest technologies, and software paradigms, and place an extreme emphasis on UX design. This effort leads to the building of innovative technology, not only in our industry, but in the overall software industry. Candidates must have a high level of experience in user interface / user experience design and web application product development. This will include business analysis and requirements gathering and documentation from all business stakeholders and internal/external clients, wireframing, prototyping, and coordination of project development using agile methodology between Graphic Designers, HTML/CSS Layout developers, and Software Engineering team to deliver product to spec and on time. An amazing level of attention to detail is a must. Someone who knows best practices, can document them, and insure all UX design follows those detailed specifications. Responsibilities * Serve as a primary designer for digital media properties * Conceptual Ideation & Art Direction * Analyze user experience problems and create design solutions that meet business goals * Analyze application and business domain data requirements and business rules, understanding the data flow from source to screen. * Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings * Recognize and predict use cases and user interaction, and design intuitive applications to support them. * Information Architecture and Wireframing * Build Interactive Prototypes for the web applications * Assume overall User Interface design of Web applications, incorporating usability, comprehensive work flows, applying standards, using various tools to create graphical interfaces for web based; rich client; and thick client applications. * Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time. * Stay abreast of UX trends, as well as corporate and industry standards looking for creative ideas * Participate in user testing and design research to gain insight into UX. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, computer science, or other related fields * 5+ years of UX, graphic, and visual design in a corporate or agency context * Able to take feedback constructively and iterate on designs and ideas from multiple stakeholders with differing opinions * Understanding and experience in user-centered design process * Creative thinker who can effectively innovate big ideas and also work out all the details * A passion for championing UX and innovation. * Experience moving your designs throughout an agile development process. * Wireframe and prototyping experience * Skilled in using design, wireframing, and use case tools * Excellent interaction design skills * Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript * Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders; i.e. technical developers, business leaders, and users. * Portfolio showing your UX skills is required * Health Care industry experience is a plus.
