A household name company is building a new UX team in the Irving area.
A critical hire for this team in an UX Architect. The company has multiple web properties and mobile applications that support direct consumers (hundreds of thousands of customers, wide range of demographics), internal sales and support staff (thousands of users), and third party business partners (thousands of users). As you can imagine, the amount of projects and new initiatives never slows down.
As an UX Architect, you would be responsible for creating and managing interactive design elements, page level layout, consistent visual treatment of websites, web applications and other digital assets.
You would lead the concept development of design solutions and provide guidance on how the visual interface should be designed. You will also ensure that the application of visual assets and realization of information design efforts support the users needs and align with the design and brand strategy. This team needs a senior creative that can understand high level requirements and translate those into beautiful and usable designs that convey how users journey through our products.
Again, the user personas vary greatly and the range of projects touch a variety of mediums.
Responsibilities for the UX Architect:
Serve as a leader of project teams with other disciplines including user experience designers, content strategists and UI developers.
Create elegantly simple but highly impactful experiences for the customers (consumers, internal, and partners).
Guide the research for visual design and interaction trends that will give the company a marketing advantage.
Lead the team in creating user personas for new products.
Deliver on time, to specification, to a high quality.
Set the creative and visual design standards.
Research technology and digital marketing trends.
Present and effectively communicate your ideas and designs to the team.
Consult with a wide range of team members, including content strategists, marketing managers, developers and other digital marketing professionals.
Deliver thought out and strategic campaign concepts that can rolled out to common digital deliverables.

Helps evaluate and test site concepts for discrete, adaptive and responsive designs as appropriate. Coordinates with design and content teams to develop and test prototypes to ensure exceptional and consistent experiences across digital properties. The position requires flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly. Responsibilities JOB DUTIES * Identifies user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods; studying how users consume content, including data categorization and labeling; meeting with focus groups. * Plans information architecture by studying the site concept, strategy, and target audience; envisioning architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design; creating user scenarios; preparing data models; designing information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation; evaluating information representation; conducting creative meetings. * Organizes information by translating user behavior into media structure and elements; crafting interactive experiences; producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, and storyboards; preparing interaction specifications, navigation rules, organization of information, and site maps; coordinating with business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive, and brand strategists. * Implements information architecture by preparing interactive prototypes and mockups including page layout and navigational elements; coordinating with Web Producer and Production Developer to integrate site concept, visual design, writing, interface, and navigational structure; documenting structure and processes. * Validates information delivery by developing and completing usability test plans; evaluating traffic patterns; studying user feedback; coordinating with Usability Specialists. * Updates job knowledge by tracking research regarding web design and usability; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Reports to: AVP User Experience Direct Reports: None Qualifications Knowledge * Demonstrated ability to define exceptional digital customer experiences. * Interest in and familiarity with user experience methodology. * Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability in responsive, accessible, multi-language sites. * Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization guidelines and best practices. * Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform issues. * Strong writing and editing skills. * Experience with Axure or equivalent prototyping tool.
