MetroStar Systems is looking for a UX Architect that is passionate about making technology and data intuitive and meaningful through user research, information architecture, and prototyping. You're a great fit if

You'll love our position if

(This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit)

  • You have 4+ years of experience architecting transformative digital experiences

  • You are versed in user research and testing methods to derive quantitative and qualitative data

  • You are an expert using Sketch and Axure

  • You have a portfolio creating modern, responsive interfaces, large-scale websites, and/or mobile apps

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Factors, Psychology, Information Science, or equivalent (Advanced Degrees Preferred)

What your day will look like:

  • You'll work with an open and motivated team creating digital experiences that solve agency missions

  • You will be responsible for leading user experience strategy, information architecture, wireframes, and user research activities

  • You'll Integrate web, mobile, data and emerging platforms into seamless interconnected ecosystems

The Admin Stuff:

We are looking for a UX Lead to help us deliver compelling, editorially focused digital products. You should have strong interpersonal skills and professional experience working on a team with an agile design and development process. You are a good listener, curious, and have a passion for problem solving with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Core Responsibilities: * Conceptualize solutions and design clear, usable interfaces * Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes and visuals for data visualizations, dashboards, websites, etc. * Work closely with product managers and developers, and actively participate in all stages of the agile process to gather and develop product requirements * Assist in planning and executing user research and usability testing to develop a comprehensive understanding of unmet needs, client workflows, etc. * Lead collaboration between front-end development and product design teams * Collaborate with product managers, editors, and strategists to transform product concepts and visions into design prototypes and specifications * Ability to deftly project manage key initiatives Qualifications: * 5+ years of professional experience designing websites, web applications, and product management * Solid understanding of modular design systems, usability, and UX practices * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to clients and internal stakeholders. * Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, and/or other visual design, prototyping, and wireframing tools * Comfortable editing HTML and CSS, and familiarity with Javascript are a plus * Agency, media, or consultancy experience is a plus * Strong UX/UI Design portfolio To Apply: Please include a link to an online portfolio that shows 5+ examples of web/product design.
