Cortex Consultants has an exciting opportunity for a UX Architect with one of our major client based out in Atlanta, GA. This is a Contract position.
As UX Standards Manager, you'll need to be creative and innovative when defining processes, while maintaining a positive approach and demeanor. You will be responsible for setting the standards and guidelines for web and mobile user-centered design, including the ability to make strategic and tactical UI design recommendations to customers and project teams based on business requirements, usability findings and standard UI design practices. The UX Standards Manager should possess the ability to rapidly prototype low and high fidelity UI concepts, serve as a usability advocate, and promote a user-focused mindset across the Solutions teams. On a day to day output should be user-centered, creative, and have solid user interface, usability and visual design skills
Vision: Develop a pragmatic and consistent execution of seamless experience design paradigms across all Digital properties that aligns with the Enterprise vision of reusable, scalable, and configurable software development. This vision should be clearly articulated and build upon the holistic Enterprise mindset, aligning with Corporate Brand directions.
Process and Evaluation: Cultivate and maintain a User Experience Design workflow that is efficient and creates streamlined deliverables that are easily delivered to development. Conduct ongoing evaluation of experience and interactive design trends with an emphasis on aligning with Corporate Brand. All design and process decisions need to be measured and tracked.
Goals and Responsibilities:
The primary goal of the UX Standards Manager is to oversee the UX guidelines and daily workflows of superior web and mobile deliverables that ultimately lead to best-in-class experiences across all the enterprise properties.
Work with Sr User Experience Manager, Sr User Interface Manager and collaborate with cross functional teams (creative, content, technology) to shape product vision and to design and deliver breathtaking experiences
Think holistically about the entire brand and consumer experience including responsive and companion native apps
Collaborates in the identification of overall UX standards with other UX leaders
Establish policies and procedures for vendor engagement and enforce existing standards.
Maintains the UX research library and toolkit
Leads the development and implementation of UX research policies, process and standards
Enhances information architecture team accomplishments and competence by planning design of hi-fidelity, cross-platform solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
Leading UX for content architecture on various platforms, both physical products and digital products including mobile and web with internal and external creative resources.
Directs the creation of journey maps, navigation flows, site maps, user stories, wireframes, concept diagrams, personas, template guidelines, annotated comps, and prototypes
Conduct market research and analysis on competitive and best in class digital and physical products / experiences and key industry trends.
Stays on top of new trends in usability.
Researches best practices in Web and desktop application design.
Outline UX system and product requirements per physical object and portal website and app to ensure we meet experience/creative vision, design principles and launch goals
Manage documentation of holistic interface design and interdependencies with various work streams and decisions
Identify gaps or inconsistencies of design decisions
Work with creative and content teams to define key goals for consumer testing, develop materials to be tested and write reports for key insights/findings
Lead ideation workshops, design thinking, and brainstorming
Collaborate closely with all members of the team
Provide weekly executive summary of UX Guidelines and projects workflow
Own documentation and tracking of all UX Design action items
Continually improve UX Design process
Effectively turn business requirements into functional flows
Applying the best design while effectively managing trade-offs between businesses needs and customer benefit
Leverages metrics, optimization, qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decision
12+ years in similar position managing User Experience and Interface Design (web and mobile) that includes experience in UX methodology and design principles and graphics/prototyping tools
