Job Summary:
The UW-Madison South Madison Partnership (UWSMP) connects UW-Madison with the South Madison community and works to foster mutually beneficial partnerships that reflect community-identified priorities. The shared event and program space on South Park Street promotes an environment of belonging, access, and awareness of both community and university resources, and provides opportunities for building quality relationships.
The UWSMP Coordinator will work closely with the UWSMP Assistant Director to implement policies and ensure all community and campus partners are welcomed to the space and have a positive experience. The UWSMP Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the staff and space.
Responsibilities include front desk reception, opening/closing the building, facilities support (e.g. tech, moving furniture), managing reservations, and building and space management. Work schedule includes some evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills are required with attention to detail. Demonstrates thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
Strong time management. Effectively and efficiently uses time and resources allocated to complete tasks; is punctual and meets deadlines; successfully prioritizes tasks to meet expectations.
Strong interpersonal and human relationship skills. Establishes trust and mutual respect when relating to others. Ability to meet and deal effectively with people and maintain a good working relationship with students, co-workers, faculty, staff, administration, and the public.
Exhibits strong cultural awareness, with prior experience working with diverse communities.
Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with all levels of constituents.
Must be comfortable and proficient using a computer, including calendar/scheduling programs.
Flexibility to multi-task, work with frequent disruption, and adjust to changing schedules is required.

Our expected pay range for this position is $20-25 per hour. The actual pay rate will be determined based on the chosen candidate's qualifications.
