Position Summary:

The Nurse is responsible for supporting the Medical Director and Director of Pre-Certification. Responsibilities include assuring health care services are available to Cigna HealthSpring members in an appropriate cost-effective manner and delivery of those services to promote healthy outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and evaluating clinical documentation received using established criteria to determine appropriateness of clinical decisions; Meet/exceed service level goals (e.g., Grade of Service, Average Handle Time, Average Speed to Answer, Abandonment Rate);

  • Adherence to regulatory and departmental timeframes for review of requests received;

  • Collaborates with the Medical Director to identify utilization trends and generation of monthly written reports;

  • Process approval and adverse clinical determination correspondence for members related to Prospective request for services.

  • Initiate the letter of agreement process, working with Network Management to ensure Service Level Agreements are completed in a timely manner when applicable;

  • Proficient knowledge of Health Services policies and procedures, Medicare, HIPPA and NCQA standards;

  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work effectively within a team or independently;

  • Flexible with the ability to shift priorities when required;

  • Coordinates with member, family, and caregivers to help resolve barriers to care;

  • Successfully collaborates with member and family to assure comprehension of available resources;

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with at 1 year of experience in a Managed Care environment.

  • Valid RN License in applicable state required

  • Working knowledge of medical coding (CPT/ICD-9) and medical necessity criteria (e.g., InterQual, Highmark, Trail Blazer)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with nursing staff, physicians, nurse practitioners and other health workers involved in the care of a member

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities, and effectively adapt and respond to complex, fast-paced, rapidly growing, and results-oriented environments

  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and to promote team concepts

  • Excellent typing skills

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-16T00:00 Job Summary The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Physical Health & Wellness (PH&W) Regional Director will supervise the Physical Health and Wellness (PH&W) staff in assigned regional offices, overseeing program delivery, and budget execution. The Regional Director ensures PH&W activities are aligned with the organization's strategic plan and objectives, while taking advantage of all WWP services and third-party assets to develop PH&W programmatic offerings that meet warrior needs. The Regional Director works collaboratively with the PH&W Director and other program peers to impact overall programmatic growth and drive team performance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Supervise PH&W managers in assigned regional offices. * Ensure staff develops ongoing relationships with warriors to increase retention and participation in WWP programs and activities. * Work with staff and teammates to develop annual action plans, which ensure PH&W programming is in alignment with WWP's overall strategic plan. * Develop action, succession, and retention plans. * Maintain excellent communication with management teammates. * Engage with program and shared services peers to ensure PH&W issues are successfully resolved and communicated. * Oversee tracking and reporting of regional staff KPIs in Salesforce. * Identify new programs and equipment available and make recommendations to WWP leadership regarding their implementation. * Develop and manage regional PH&W budgets. * Monitor warrior population as a whole in order to identify and report deficiencies and/or gaps in programs and services. * Travel to PH&W events as necessary to monitor regional staff performance and provide support and guidance. * Other duties as assigned. Preferences * Three years of experience working with and providing support to disabled individuals dealing with health issues and invisible injuries or military. * Three years of experience managing remote staff. * Three years of experience with customer relationship management and event management systems, e.g., Salesforce, CVENT. * Three years of experience managing projects or events. Certifications & Licensure * Valid state-issued driver's license required. * CPR-First Aid certification required.
