ABOUT THE ROLE

As Prep Cook / Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen by washing all kitchen utensils such as pots and pans as well as cleaning kitchen floors, walls, and any equipment such as mixers. In addition to assuring attentive, friendly, authentic, and efficient service in all culinary experiences at Outbound Stowe including East Side Bar & Bites, Grab & Go Mercantile, Events, Banquets, and Exterior Experience Zones including pool, fire pits and pop-up spaces.

SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM

  • You will help with food preparation and cook all items against the recipe cards, verify that use records are followed for all items served and that food is presented in an efficient, quality manner.

  • Maintaining an organized and sanitary dish / utility area.

  • Monitor the equipment maintenance and kitchen "clean as you go" policy to ensure strict adherence.

  • Maintain clean walk-in coolers.

  • Handle F&B deliveries and re-stock/store food products according to first in/first out guidelines.

  • Monitor the line set up prior to all meal functions to ensure maximum efficiency during meal periods.

  • To assist the Chef in maintaining standards of quality and appears on the front line.

  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by any manager.

  • Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out), Meals and Rest Periods policy and Springboard Hospitality Rules of Conduct.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for team members as well as guests.

  • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the associate handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred experience: 1-2 years

  • Must be able to lift / pull / push up to 50 lbs. Able to kneel, squat, reach.

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Strong communication, and organizational skills.

  • Service-oriented with exceptional customer service and sales skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent knowledge of food

  • Food and Beverage experience in a Hotel or resort environment preferred.

  • Certified in Food Handling and CPR preferred.

  • Upholds the brand's authentic, approachable, adventure-curious, and sociable characteristics.

  • Must be able to work weekend and evening shifts, including Fridays & Saturdays and during music series and events as needed.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Experience:

  • Previous experience preferred

  • IT Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.

  • Education:

  • No formal education required; High School diploma or equivalent desired

  • Subject Expertise:

  • Operate dish washing machine, dishwasher handling, Floor maintenance, physical work

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.

  • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.

  • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

  • Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

  • Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.

  • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.

  • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday

  • Friday 8am

  • 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
