The Utility Worker Shall be responsible for general building and grounds maintenance; as well as cleaning and servicing hospital areas (patient rooms, nurses station, emergency room, treatment rooms, laboratory, radiology, public and private lavatories & showers, offices, lounges, meeting rooms, clinic and etc.) to ensure the health and safety of patients, visitors, and employees and to provide a clean, attractive and safe environment with minimal interference to others within the facility to fulfill this position.
A. Ability to understand verbal and/or written communication.B.
Work with minimal supervision.C. Must be self-motivated, reliable and have consistent work habits.D. Must have a neat and clean appearance with a good mental disposition a nd be in good physical health.E.
Ability to read, write and speak EnglishF. Perform basic math calculationsG. Minimum of high school education or equivalent.
H. Experience in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and grounds duties.I. Able to meet the requirements of ADA requirements.J. Requires some handling of biologically unclean and/or corrosive materials, power equipment, lawn mower and snow blower.
Maybe in frequent contact with water & strong cleaning & disinfecting solutions.K. Have a valid Iowa drivers license
This Utility Worker position is a combination of our housekeeping and maintenance positions.This is full time and the hours are:Monday
6:00pm*rotating weekends, holidays and call coverage
