Utility Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Utility worker to join our team in the Retail Trade industry. As a Utility worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment at the University of Indianapolis, UINDY location. Your primary goal will be to maintain a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our facilities are always in top condition.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in maintenance or a related field

• Ability to operate and maintain equipment

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in a related field

• Experience working in a retail or customer service environment

• Experience with event setup and breakdown

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs

• Operating and maintaining equipment such as HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing systems

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols

• Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events and activities

• Communicating effectively with team members and management

Skills:

As a Utility worker, you will use your skills in maintenance, equipment operation, and communication on a daily basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are always in top condition, which requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Your communication skills will be essential in effectively communicating with team members and management. Additionally, your ability to operate and maintain equipment will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Monday to Friday - Full Time

7 am to 2 pm
