As a Utility Worker, you'll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted. Based in Eldorado, NM, you'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the servicing and corrective maintenance of water systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Operates, maintains, and performs minor repairs on water treatment and/or distribution system• Installs operates and repairs water distribution and collection systems including mains, service lines, fire hydrants, water valves, PRV's and water meters• Reads and monitors gauges, meters, and control panels• Starts and stops equipment, and operates valves to route and control flow• Cleans vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools, and other stationary and portable equipment• Performs routine inspection of vehicles and equipment; performs minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery such as changing oil and greasing equipment• Maintains grounds and buildings: cuts grass, weeds, and brush; trims trees and bushes; rakes grass, leaves and trash; seeds and cares for lawns and ornamental plantings• Operates and maintains vehicles, equipment and tools required to load, unload, haul, and spread sand, gravel, dirt and digs and refills ditches and trenches• Carries or holds materials, supplies, and tools to assist operations and maintenance personnel• Maintains records to accurately reflect pump hours, gallons pumping rate, gallons of chemical applied, kilowatt hours and facility appearance• Reads and records water meter readings Most importantly, you'll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.

All positions will start as contingent hires for 90 days through our Contingent Labor vendor. Here's what you'll need: • High School diploma or equivalent• A valid driver's license with no major infractions Ideally, You'll Also Have:• Basic knowledge in the operation and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, tools, and machinery, used in and around water/wastewater systems, structures and buildings.• Familiarity with hand and power tools and equipment commonly used in the maintenance of vehicles, equipment, structures, and buildings• Safe work practices. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Due to the nature of the job passing a Fitness for Duty testing is required to ensure candidates for this position are physically and functionally fit to perform the essential physical work functions of this safety sensitive position without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others. The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands.

The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact. The base salary range for this position is the following below.

Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
