We are seeking a Utility Technician who will perform maintenance and repair functions of a more complicated nature of water vending and ice bagging machines in accordance with the Company's Best Practices and as required in assigned district(s). Ideal candidates for this position are self-motivated who have good customer service and communication skills. Must have mechanical aptitude, general math and computer skills and enjoy working outdoors. Most of the job duties are performed independently and with limited supervision.

Performs all technical non-routine and complex field service and maintenance functions of water vending machines, as well as auxiliary products as required in assigned district(s).
Drives a company-provided vehicle in a safe manner and observes all security measures established by the Company in the operation of its vehicles. Required to keep vehicle clean at all times and report any malfunction promptly for repair.
Places water vending and ice bagging equipment at pre-installed locations.
May be required to cover for other Service Technicians on sick days, vacation and/or job vacancies.
Frequent travel with overnight stays, weekend on-call duty and overtime may be required on a regular basis.
May perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Valid Driver License with a clean driving record and a satisfactory background check will be required
Basic understanding of plumbing (water flow, pipes, valves, etc.) and some mechanical devices (i.e., motors, switches, etc.).
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions, including the use of a procedure/training manual
Able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and periodically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Assertive ability to troubleshoot, manage and diffuse tense situations caused by machinery breakdowns through exceptional customer service skill set and technical knowledge
Self-sufficient, positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance
Ability to prioritize and have an acute sense of urgency
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills
