Pay
This position is a Non-Exempt position at pay grade 105.
Attendance
Non-rotating 40-hour work week; must be available to work additional hours as needed.
This position is located at Wesley Seale Dam in Mathis, TX.

Overview
The Utility Technician II safely performs ground and/or mechanical maintenance as assigned at the following locations: Wesley Seale Dam, Sunrise Beach, Rincon Pump Station, and three raw water pumps stations in Beeville, Alice, and Mathis.
Responsibilities
Safely performs maintenance and repairs to Wesley Seale Dam equipment and vehicles
Assists in identifying maintenance requirements, developing preventive maintenance strategies and plans, and performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
Makes recommendations on findings
Safely operates mowing and construction equipment to maintain facilities and grounds
Safely operates work boat inspecting dam, buoys, and making water side inspections and repairs
Instructs subordinates in the proper procedures to safely operate and maintain Wesley Seale Dam equipment, vehicles, and facilities
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
