Pay
This position is a Non-Exempt position at pay grade 105.
Attendance
Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday
Friday, 7:00 am
4:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Overview
Utility Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant, Choke Canyon Reservoir, Wesley Seale Dam and Lake Texana Pipeline.
Responsibilities
Assists in identifying maintenance requirements, developing preventative maintenance strategies and plans and performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
Make determinations and implements preventative maintenance actions to prevent future failures
Prepares purchasing and minor construction contracts in direct support of maintenance and operations
Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on engines, generators, pumps, settling tanks, filers, chemical feed systems, piping systems, and other types of rotating machinery and gear boxes
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of two (2) years of experience
Valid Texas Class A CDL must be obtained within one (1) year of hire
A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
