HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
The Utility Operator (UO) will be responsible for loading customer's trucks and unloading railcars including the handling of Bills of Lading and input of data into company's priority Cement Management System. The UO will also conduct silo measurements for inventory purposes. The UO will assists with general plant maintenance and clean-up activities as directed by the Terminal Manager.
The ability to safely and efficiently load bulk trucks
Safely operate equipment to move, load and unload rail cars
Stand for long periods of time and climb flights of stairs
Good people skills and must be able to multi-task
Be able to operate a forklift and railcar mover
Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills
Understand and demonstrate use of the load out and reclaim system
Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties
Proactive approach to safety
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures. Report any unsafe condition, accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately.
Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
Work with plant management to identify problems and potential problems that need to be addressed.
Perform plant inspections and complete inspection documentation.
May be required to work some Saturdays.
Regular and on-time attendance.
Perform other duties and assignments as assigned or required
Able to work the early shift (3 a.m. or earlier as needed by our customer's schedules)
Any other duties as assigned.
This position will be based at Union City.
