We have three manufacturing facilities and thirteen Showrooms. As a part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an Utility Operator to join our Rough Mill team!

General Description/Purpose:

The Rough Mill Utility will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Rough Mill Utility does this by aiding as an off bearer, operating basic machines, assisting in several different machine centers, and make dimensional and grade decisions in the defect process throughout the rough mill. The Rough Mill Utility completes these functions in the manufacture of furniture parts and pieces.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify wood species and make grade related decisions based on established Stickley standards

• Read, comprehend, and full fill production tickets and print scan tags as needed.

• Read and Interpret part drawings

• Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy

• Perform preventive maintenance as required

• Set up work in the safest, most efficient manner

• Operate assigned machines in a safe manner

Essential Knowledge, Skills:

• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts

• Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks

• Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions

• Ability to operate facility equipment as required

Performance Standards:

• Responsible for reporting to work at scheduled times

• Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work

• Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct as contained in company policy, employment procedures and responsibilities as described in the core handbook

• Maintain a safe work environment at all times

• Responsible for completing all assigned tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Work Schedule:

First Shift Schedule: 6:00AM 3:30PM Monday Thursday and 6:00AM to 10:00AM on Fridays
