JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking dedicated Utility Locate Technicians based in Columbus, OH to work on the Nisource project. This project extends through 2027 with potential extensions thereafter. As a Utility Locate Technician, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of underground electrical and gas utilities.

Utilizing state-of-the-art Trimble equipment, you will conduct comprehensive surveys to accurately locate utilities. Your responsibilities include interpreting utility maps, plans, and as-built drawings to ensure precise identification of utility lines. Whether you're an experienced professional or just starting your career, we welcome candidates who are open to learning and growing.QUALIFICATIONS

• Clean Background Check
• Clean Driving Record
• Pre-employemnt drug test

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Proof of High School Diploma OR GED
• Ability to frequently lift and move 40lb - 5lb throughout the day

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Ability to work alone or in a team setting (or open to learning!)
• Ability to read utility maps, plans and as-built drawings (or open to learning!)
• Prior utility locating experience (or open to learning!)
• Familiarity with Electromagnetic multi-frequency locating tools (or open to learning!)
