MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote a safe working environment.

• Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers.

• Maintain Regrind

• Evaluate regrind usage and assure that regrind is being used and not stored

• Maintain Tote Bins, along with the operators Maintain Color Hoppers

• Evaluate Colorant usage and verify that colorant is not being overused - perform visual color checks on bottles, along with the operator

• Maintain blenders, and letdown ratios and designated formulas for specific bottles

• Record material usage on daily sheets and turn in to the supervisor

• Transport material and scan (regrind, colorant, antistat etc.) to and from the warehouse

• Maintain the blender area and day bin area

• Document on the shift notes any changes or regrind usage

• Communicate with the Machine Operators - for example when changes are made to material blend, when 4 lines are being operated, when there are problem areas

• On an hourly basis QC check the wall thickness measurements and record the results for operators running 4 or more lines - communicate with the blow mold tech if out of spec issues occur

• On an hourly basis QC check the weights and record the results for operators running 4 or more lines.

• Any duties not listed that will be assigned by the supervisor or acting supervisor for the day. For example, but not limited to breaks, cleaning, rework, etc.

• Fill out the daily resin count sheets and communicate to the next shift. (copy summary sheet and pass along).

• Compliance with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.

• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

Required:

• Obtain or be able to obtain a Forklift Driver's License

• Possess proficient mathematic and grammar skills

• Mechanically inclined

• Able to lift and load containers of boxes as required up to 30lbs

• Good verbal and organizational skills

• Ability to work as a team

Preferred:

• Frequent Stooping

• Frequent carrying 50 lbs up ladders and onto platforms
