Responsible for the overall operation of the Utilities. Has a wide variety of duties related to both supervision of the personnel within the organization and ensuring optimal completion of responsibilities.
Under the direction of the Manager, supervise the operations and maintenance functions and all assigned personnel.
Responsibilities include ensuring work assignments are completed IAW PWS, standard operating procedures and applicable safety regulations.
Check work quality.
Keep Manager informed of work related problems or unusual situations.
Provide and maintain good, effective customer relations.
Coordinate support for mission-essential requirements requiring branch personnel.
Review completion of emergency and urgent work.
Perform administrative actions and record keeping.
Attend as-required meetings.
Provide written reports.
Provide and maintain professional and cordial relationship with Direct Reporting Unit (DRU), Department of Defense (DOD), team personnel, contractors, and residents aboard project site.
Interface directly with personnel in support of assigned personnel, operations and maintenance of functional areas.
As required, participate in Collective Bargaining issues.
Requisition goods and services.
Prepare and hold weekly informational and safety meetings for branch personnel and administer the entity's employee of the month program.
Prepare and monitor the branch budget.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
Work with all branch personnel to create process improvements and monitor and promotes optimal customer satisfaction.
Additional duties in direct support of departmental mission requirements.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as manager or supervisor of maintenance crews.
Three years' experience in supervision of, and familiarity with, the activities of power production, potable water distribution, waste water plants and collection systems, heat plants, and EMCS. Understand, read, write, and speak fluent English.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must provide an official DMV report.
Able to receive and maintain a favorable Local Background Check (LBC) and National Agency Check (NAC) as applicable to the position requirements, current and future.
